Jacob Summers, SGA presidential candidate Stephen Saucier's campaign manager, quit Wednesday afternoon citing differences in opinion.

"Mainly, it came down to a difference of opinion on how the campaign was to be run," Said Summers, a junior majoring in public relations. "I don't feel I was given a chance to serve at my full capacity or capability."

Saucier said it would not affect his chances of being elected and there were no hard feelings.

"To be honest, I don't think it will change my chances a whole lot, we've had a slightly different approach towards campaigning, and his leaving was nothing near bitter," Saucier said. "He just felt his time might be used better elsewhere."

"I believe he is running a decent campaign," Summers said. "If I believed I could help his chances in any way, I would have stayed. I basically believe my candidate has good interests but he may be looking at measuring the student body, and I was in it to win the election."

When asked if he was in the election to win, Saucier said yes.

"Absolutely. I'm giving it my all," he said. "The thing that is more important than who gets elected is that the students' voice be heard."
